I love the game’s retro art style. It’s quite tough but enjoyable.
I would Like to point out a few things. I noticed that the mid-air controls are very insensitive.. controlling while in the air is not easy.
Also maybe the coyote time could increase, I couldn’t jump sometimes when I’m running toward the edge of a platform.
and lastly, the inertia of your movement while in the air stays even after you touch the ground which makes making a stable landing without slipping hard.
I suspect most of the mid-air/jump is due to a bit of last-minute tweaks I made after I discovered that you could jump over a lot of the spike pits if you timed it right!
Constraints are both a blessing and a curse when it comes to the weekly game jam!
